Hydraulic & Geotechnical Study

This project is an example of performance of work in arctic and sub-arctic conditions. It involved geotechnical work, drilling, sampling soils, laboratory testing and analysis, hydrologic and engineering studies.

BCE conducted an extensive geotechnical investigation, soil sampling and analysis, installed monitoring wells to monitor groundwater activity and to determine its effect on the building. Remote reading devices ‘Solinst’ were installed to automatically record the water levels. BCE prepared a Study Report with recommended options for the building stabilization.
