ROLE: Construction Manager
LOCATION: Great Smokey National Park, Gatlinburg, Tennessee
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 6 months
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week
Engineering & construction management company is currently hiring a full-time, temporary Construction Manager(CM) to provide management and oversight of a wastewater treatment plant project that will include the following:
The Work includes the replacement of the existing Elkmont Wastewater Treatment Plant process with a new packaged wastewater treatment system. The new treatment process is an Amphidrome Fixed Film/Activated Sludge process comprised of one (1) 15,000 gpd process train. The construction of the new system involves refurbishment of the existing structures, removal of electrical equipment and new structural, electrical and mechanical work.
This position is subject to contract award.
*Minimum four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management or other related field from an ABET accredited engineering college or university.
*Must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of relevant construction and/or engineering work experience demonstrating knowledge and experience in construction management; project coordination and communication; applying and enforcing engineering codes, permit requirements and contract documents; inspection of construction work; performing schedule and cost breakdown estimating, analyses and negotiating; technical writing; etc.
*Must possess at minimum, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training certification. If none, must acquire within 90 days of award of contract.
*Must demonstrate computer literacy and the ability to open and manipulate Primavera Project Planner (P3) and Microsoft (MS) Project schedules, or similar, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and other commonly used software systems.
*Must have experience providing similar services for similar projects.
*Recent and relevant experience performing construction management services on water/wastewater treatment facility projects.
