Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center
Under an IDIQ contract, BCE has been assisting the Client throughout the design process for a brand new Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. This is a Design-Build project consisting of a single story approximately 6500 sq. ft. Visitor Center and Exhibit Hall Facility with utilities, including electrical, water, sewer, communications, and security, parking, pedestrian walkways, and site development. The project will earn a minimum of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certification in addition to meeting all federal Energy Mandates.
BCE conducted a Design Charrette with the Client and Design-Build (DB) Contractor to formalize, document, and accelerate the initial design process and to create preliminary facility design. Consequently, BCE is providing design reviews of the facility at different design milestones. These included comprehensive architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and landscape reviews.
